NORFOLK, Va., Sept. 17, 2025 — Delaware State junior Marian Drazan was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Maryland Eastern Shore sophomore Rebecca Jepngetich was named Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Drazan (Jr., Visnova, Czech Republic.) claimed the individual title at the Delaware State Sting Invitational, crossing the finish line in 15:18.3 to pace the Hornets on their home course.
Jepngetich (So., Eldoret, Kenya.) captured the women's individual title at the Delaware State Sting Invitational, clocking a winning time of 19:17.38 to lead the Hawks to a second-place team finish.
Other Top Performers
- Humed Nura (CSU) opened the season with a runner-up finish at the Delaware State Sting Invitational, recording a personal-best time of 16:05.8.
- Rebecca Jansen (DSU) placed second overall at the Delaware State Invitational, finishing in 19:44.9.
- Fidelis Osunkwo (UMES) placed 12th at the Delaware State Invitational with a time of 17:36.51, helping the Hawks secure a fourth-place team finish.
- Alitza Dennard (NCCU) captured first place at the Wilmington Beach Blast 5K, crossing the finish line in 19:33.96 leading the Eagles to a second-place team finish.
- Emmanuel Paddyfote (NCCU) led the Eagles to a first-place team finish at the Wilmington Beach Blast 5K, claiming the individual title with a time of 15:32.77.
