MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (August 30, 2025) - Howard University sophomore kicker
Matt Conord (Lithia, Fla.) nailed a 43-yard field goal with no time left to help secure a 10-9 win over long-time rival Florida A&M University (FAMU) in the 2025 Orange Blossom Classic at Hard Rock Stadium.
Conord, a sophomore transfer from Chowan, who finished third on the team in scoring while connecting on only 4-of-11, the longest being a 31 yarder. Conord's deciding kick was set up by the Bison defense, which held the Rattlers high-powered offense to three field goals.
Both teams played it close to the vest and were unable to get untracked due to some stout opposition from both sides.

DURHAM, N.C. — The North Carolina Central University football team dropped its 2025 home opener Saturday evening in O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium, as New Hampshire came away with a 27-10 win. The Eagles fell to 1-1 on the season.
Following a scoreless first quarter, New Hampshire got on the board with a 29-yard field goal from Nick Reed. The Wildcats took a 3-0 lead at the 9:17 mark following an 11-play, 49-yard drive.
Just over six minutes later, New Hampshire went up 10-0 after Matt Vezza hit tight end Denin Limouris from four yards out.
South Alabama (CUSA) def. Morgan State - 38-21 - BOX SCORE | RECAP
MOBILE, Ala. (Aug. 30, 2025) – The Morgan State Bears opened their 2025 campaign on Saturday night in Mobile, Alabama, striking first with a touchdown on their opening drive to grab a 7-0 lead over Sun Belt opponent South Alabama. But the Jaguars quickly seized control, answering with 17 straight points to swing the momentum. Morgan State managed to find the end zone once more, but it wasn't enough to mount a comeback, as the Bears fell 38-14 at Hancock Whitney Stadium. The matchup marked the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
South Alabama (1-0) finished with 367 yards of total offense, while Morgan State tallied 340. The Jaguars posted 174 passing yards and 19 first downs, compared to the Bears' 159 passing yards and 17 first downs.

Nico Cavanillas Alti posted a solid day connecting on three field goals in the contest to give the Bulldogs an 9-7 advantage late in the third quarter. The Terries jumped on the board with the play of special teams off a returned kicked by Colby Alexander 89-yards for a score.
A costly error by the Bulldogs resulted in a safety and allowed Wofford to take the lead 15-9 in the fourth quarter. SCSU responded with a 1:29 remaining in regulation off a a 12-yard toss from
