Fuquay-Varina, NC - North Carolina Central Eagles running back Chris Mosley has been named HBCU National Player of the Week. Mosley, a redshirt-senior from Forth Worth, Texas, carried the ball 15 times for 174 yards and ran for a touchdown as the Eagles defeated Southern 31-14 in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge on Saturday. He averaged 11.6 yards per carry and with the Eagles down 14-10 late in the second quarter, his 49-yard touchdown run proved to be the game-winning touchdown, at that time giving NCCU the 17-14 lead.
Mosley will be highlighted on the nationally syndicated sports talk show BOXTOROW with Donal Ware which airs on radio stations across the country, including on Buzz Sports Radio in the Triangle, and outside of the U.S. in The Bahamas and British Virgin Islands.
