Eleven Hawk Softball Players Named Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete Honors Softball | 7/17/2025 12:35:00 PM The University of Maryland Eastern Shore softball team earned 11 Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete selections in July as the Hawks closed the 2024–25 academic year with a 3.18 team GPA. The 2025 Easton/NFCA scholar-athlete class included: graduates McKenzie Abiley and Nola Mountain; juniors Jaycee Holt, DeNae Ojeda, Emily Gunther and Paige Perkins; sophomores Paris Richards and Kamille Trammell; and freshmen Kai Hudson, Lola Meyer and Tyla Dickerson. To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have posted a minimum 3.5 GPA during the 2024–25 academic year. Earlier this spring, UMES also placed eight student-athletes on the 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, announced by the conference office May 5. The Hawks recognized on the MEAC All-Academic Team were Abiley, Ella Falcetti, Gunther, Holt, Mountain, Perkins, Richards and Trammell. Seniors Abiley and Mountain earned the honor for the third time, while juniors Perkins and Holt received it for the second time in their careers. The NFCA is expected to publish a press release this fall recognizing all individual scholar-athletes as well as the top 10 academic teams in each division.
