PRAGUE, Czech Republic – Norfolk State alumnus Tyrel Bladen will continue his basketball career at the professional level, signing a contract with SK Slavia Praha this week.

SK Slavia Praha is a Czech club based in Prague, Czech Republic. The team competes in the National Basketball League (NBL) – the premier basketball association of the Czech Republic.

After playing the majority of his career at Rider, Bladen transferred to Norfolk State ahead of the 2023-24 campaign for his final two collegiate seasons. The 6-10 forward played a crucial role in those two years, appearing in 65 games while making 35 starts.

Bladen averaged 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest during his senior season, shooting 56-of-101 (55.4 percent) from the field. He scored in double figures on four occasions, including a season-high 16 points against Delaware State on a perfect 8-of-8 shooting day from the floor.

Playing alongside teammate Christian Ings, Bladen appeared in the HBCU All-Star Game held in San Antonio, Texas.
