The Bison quickly answered in the bottom of the fifth as Alyssa Vasquez delivered an RBI single to bring home Lealani Ricks. A sacrifice fly from Hart allowed Lauryn Jones to cross the plate, pushing Howard ahead 3-1.

Howard added insurance in the sixth, capitalizing on a clutch two-RBI double from Maryn Jordan that scored Angel Riggins and Ameenah Ballenger, extending the lead to 5-1. The Bison defense held strong in the seventh to close out the win.
