LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Norfolk State men's basketball head coach Robert Jones continues to spread his knowledge to the next generation of leaders, participating in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Championship Basketball Clinic over the weekend.

The three-time MEAC Coach of the Year led the last educational session of the evening on Friday, putting together a lesson on creative ways to guard the pick and roll.

"It's always an honor to be selected to speak at the NABC Coaching Clinic," Jones said. "I remember going to these as a learner to now being a presenter, showing tremendous career growth. Over 600 coaches registered for the event and to be able to share a little insight on Spartan basketball to eager coaches was a great experience. Hopefully they were able to learn some concepts from the 75-minute presentation to help them on their coaching journey."

Jones' name carries a reputable weight within the organization, winning the 2018-19 NABC District 15 Coach of the Year award.

The Norfolk State men's basketball team put together another historic campaign, winning the program's fourth MEAC Tournament title – the third of Jones' career. After the team's 2024-25 run concluded, Jones earned a contract extension through the 2031-32 season.
