Morgan State's Kameron Hobbs Set to Take Center Court in San Antonio During Final Four Weekend

BALTIMORE, Md. (April 3, 2025) - Kameron Hobbs is set to showcase his talent on a national stage as he prepares to participate in the 4th Annual Men's HBCU All-Star Game. This prestigious event, held on Sunday, April 6th at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas, offers Hobbs a prime opportunity to impress scouts and basketball enthusiasts alike during the highly anticipated Final Four Weekend. 

Selected among the best players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hobbs is poised to represent the National Treasure - Morgan State University with pride, contributing to a game that celebrates the rich tradition and exceptional talent within HBCU institutions.

The Stockbridge, GA native capped off his Morgan State career in stunning fashion, earning a coveted spot on the 2024-25 BOXTOROW First Team All-American roster. This honor marks the culmination of a journey defined by exceeding expectations and electrifying performances within his conference. After being initially projected to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Third Team in the preseason, the Hobb's impactful play earned him a well-deserved place on the MEAC First Team and set the stage for national recognition.

Hobbs averaged 16.5 points (No. 6 in MEAC), 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game this season. He led the Bears in scoring and minutes per game (31.8 mpg) and shot 45 percent from the field (No. 7) and shot 36 percent from beyond the arc.

His consistency on the offensive end was nothing short of remarkable this season. Evidenced by scoring in double-figures 25 times, including a streak of 21 consecutive games. Furthermore, he elevated his game to another level, reaching the 20-point threshold in 16 contests. Highlighting his ability to take over games when needed, most notably a dominant 33-point explosion against #4 seeded Howard in a crucial MEAC Quarterfinals victory at Norfolk Scope Arena.

The 2025 HBCU All-Star Game will be nationally televised, giving Hobbs and other HBCU standouts the opportunity to compete in front of a broad audience.
