IRVING, Texas (April 23, 2025) – The National Football Foundation (NFF) revealed its 2025 Hampshire Honors Society members where Howard University saw nine Bison selected. The announcement came Wednesday (April 16).
The NFF Hampshire Honor Society comprises of college football student-athletes from all divisions (NCAA, NAIA and sprint football) who have maintained a cumulative 3.2 grade-point-average (GPA) or better through their collegiate careers.
Among this year's recipients included
Darius Fox (Washington),
CJ Hoffman (Centreville, Va.),
Terrance Hollon (Cleveland),
Xavier Ricks (Walkersville, Md.),
Breylin Smith (Winter Haven, Fla.),
Phillip Smitherman (Oklahoma City),
Dylan West (Akron, Ohio),
Cyrus Wilson (Olney, Md.) and
Zachary Yeager (Minneapolis).
This year, 2,532 student-athletes from 339 institutions qualified for membership, a new record and largest class in the program's 19-year history. Since its inception, the initiative has honored 20,946 student-athletes.
Howard opens the 2025 season against Florida A&M in the Orange Blossom Classic Saturday (Aug. 30).
