NORFOLK, Va. – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced the men’s tennis pairings for the 2025 MEAC Tennis Championship Tournament, set for April 24-26 at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
The Bulldogs of South Carolina State clinched the regular-season title for the fourth consecutive year, finishing with a perfect 5-0 record in conference play and an overall mark of 13-3.
As the No. 1 seed, South Carolina State earns a first-round bye and advances to the semifinals on Friday, April 25, at 12 p.m. The Bulldogs will face the winner of the match between No. 4 Morgan State and No. 5 Howard.
Morgan State secured the No. 4 seed going 7-14 and 2-3 and will meet No. 5 Howard in the tournament’s opening round on Thursday, April 24, at 2 p.m.
North Carolina Central claims the No. 2 seed, earning a first round bye, after an impressive regular season where the Eagles went 15-5 overall and 4-1 in MEAC action.
The Eagles fast track to the semifinals on Friday, April 25, at 12 p.m., and will take on the winner of the first-round matchup between No. 3 Norfolk State and No. 6 Coppin State.
Norfolk State locked up the No. 3 seed with an overall record of 12-11, 3-2 and will face No. 6 Coppin State in the opening round on Thursday, April 24, at 2 p.m.
The championship match is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, with first serve set at 12:00 p.m. The winner of each semifinal will advance to the title match.
The 2025 MEAC Men’s Tennis semifinals and championship matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.
