NORFOLK, Va. – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced the women’s tennis pairings for the 2025 MEAC Tennis Championship Tournament, scheduled for April 24-26 at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
South Carolina State captured the regular-season championship for the third consecutive year, finishing with an unblemished 6-0 conference record and a 13-4 overall mark.
The Bulldogs enter the tournament as the No. 1 seed and earn a first-round bye, advancing directly to the semifinals. S.C. State will open tournament play on Friday, April 25, at 9 a.m., facing the winner of the matchup between No. 4 Norfolk State and No. 5 Delaware State.
Norfolk State and Delaware State will meet in the first round on Thursday, April 24, at 8 a.m.
On the opposite side of the bracket, No. 2 seed North Carolina Central will begin its tournament run against No. 7 Coppin State on Thursday, April 24, at 8 a.m. North Carolina Central secured the No. 2 seed after another strong regular season performance.
No. 3 seed Howard will square off against No. 6 seed Morgan State later that morning, with first serve set for 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 24.
The winners of Thursday’s matches will advance to Friday’s semifinal round, leading up to the championship match on Saturday, April 26 at 9:00 a.m.
The semifinal and championship matches will stream live on ESPN+.
