WASHINGTON (February 25, 2025) – In celebration of Women's History Month, Howard University proudly announced 100 Women for Howard: A Legacy in Motion, a groundbreaking initiative set to bring together 100 influential women in sports and business to invest in the future of Howard Women's Basketball. The announcement came Tuesday.

The event will take place Thursday (March 6) on the campus of Howard University, uniting trailblazers, game- changers and advocates to support Coach Ty Grace and her vision for a sustainable, competitive and forward-thinking program.

"This is more than just an event—it's a movement," said Grace. "We are building a legacy for young women in sports, providing them with the resources, opportunities and support they need to succeed on and off the court. With the backing of 100 powerful women, we can make an immediate and lasting impact."

At the heart of this initiative is the Mecca Made NIL Collective, which creates Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for Howard women's basketball student-athletes. Contributions will help student-athletes build their brands, gain financial stability and prepare for success beyond their collegiate careers.

"The SVE Firm is honored to lead this initiative and champion the incredible women in Howard Athletics," said April Taylor, CEO of The SVE Firm and event organizer. "This is about legacy-building, creating opportunities and ensuring that the next generation of women in sports has the support they deserve. It is time for us to show up and show out for Howard Women's Basketball."

Howard Director of Athletics Kery Davis emphasized the significance of this campaign, "This initiative reflects the strength and unity of women in sports and business. Howard has a storied tradition of excellence and with the support of 100 Women for Howard, we are taking another major step toward advancing our women's athletic programs."
