N.C. A&T heads to Rochester Regional for NCAA Bowling Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., March 26, 2025 -- The North Carolina A&T State Aggies will appear in the 2025 NCAA Women's Bowling National Collegiate Championship as the 19-team bracket was unveiled Wednesday afternoon. North Carolina A&T State, fresh off its first MEAC bowling championship since 2023 and ninth overall, will compete in the Rochester Regional against Louisiana Tech.

North Carolina A&T State (84-36), ranked No. 8 in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Top 25 Poll, defeated the University of Alabama-Birmingham, 4-1, in the MEAC Bowling Championship final to clinch the league's automatic bid. North Carolina A&T State boasts the MEAC Bowler of the Year and Most Outstanding Bowler, Maya Avilez.

NC A&T will face off against Louisiana Tech (83-45) on Friday, April 4 at 9 AM in Rochester, N.Y. The 11th-ranked Bulldogs earned an at-large bid for the fifth consecutive year and are led by Rachel Ong.

The 2025 NCAA Championship features a 19-team double-elimination tournament. Split into four regions, including one site with four teams and three with five squads, take place Thursday, April 3, to Saturday, April 5. The four winners will advance to the NCAA Championship finals in Las Vegas, Nev., at Suncoast Bowling Center Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12.
