Maryland Eastern Shore def. Morgan State- 70-59 

PRINCESS ANNE, MD-- The University of Maryland Shore closed out its home stand for the season with a 70-59 win against Morgan State. 
 
Four UMES players reached double digits scoring with Zamara Haynes, Brianna Barnes and Ce'nara Skanes each putting up 13 with Mahogany Lester scoring 10. Ce'nara Skanes recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds to go along with a pair of assists and a steal.

Norfolk State def. South Carolina State 88-57 

ORANGEBURG, S.C. ---- Graduate guard Diamond Johnson hit one of the biggest milestones of her career, surpassing 2,000 points in Norfolk State's 88-57 win against South Carolina State Saturday afternoon. 
  
Sophomore guard Da'Brya Clark led NSU in scoring with 20 points, adding four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block to her totals. Johnson also produced a big game for the Spartans with 19 points, eight rebounds, seven steals, and three assists. 
  
Anjanae Richardson also scored in double figures, accumulating 19 points for NSU in the win.

Howard def. North Carolina Central 75-51 

DURHAM, N.C. (March 1, 2025) – Graduate guard Destiny Howell (Queens, N.Y.) had what is perhaps her best all-round performance, scoring a game-high 21 points to lead the Howard University women's basketball team to an easy 74-51 win over North Carolina Central University (NCCU) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) at McDougald-McLendon Arena. 
  
It was the eighth straight win for the streaking Bison, who improved to 11-1 in league play (18-9 overall).

Coppin State def. Delaware State 73-59 

DOVER, Del. – Laila Lawrence led four Eagles in double figures with 20 points and 18 rebounds to lead Coppin State's women's basketball team to a 73-59 victory over Delaware State on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Hall.   

The Eagles improved to 17-11 overall and 8-4 in the MEAC.
