NORFOLK, Va., March 10, 2025 – Morgan State sophomore Amber Rivas has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Player of the Week. Teammates Olivia Pagano and Victoria Fletcher were named Rookie and Pitcher of the Week respectively.
Rivas (So., UTL, West Hills, Calif.) batted .400 with three runs, four hits, an RBI, a walk and 16 putouts in three games for the Bears. She recorded a hit and a stolen base in the opener against Le Moyne, while following with a 3-for-4 performance with two runs and an RBI in game 2 against Le Moyne. Rivas ended the weekend with a run and a walk in the 4-3 victory over Mount St. Mary's.
Pagano (Fr., OF, Staten Island, N.Y.) batted .600 with six hits, including two doubles and two RBI through three games. She went 1-for-3 with an RBI and double in the opener against Le Moyne. In game two against Le Moyne, she finished 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI while adding a hit in the win over Mount St. Mary's.
Fletcher (Gr., P, Huntington, Md.) threw 9.2 innings going 1-1 in the circle with a 3.80 ERA. Fletcher surrendered six runs on 12 hits, three walks and struck out nine batters. She ended the weekend with a complete game against Mount St. Mary's striking out six batters while only allowing three runs in the 4-3 win.

- Clarke Calvin (Maryland Eastern Shore) registered a .467 batting average going 7-of-15 at the plate with two RBI, one run scored, two doubles, six putouts and 12 assists in an 0-5 week.
- Kassidy Oneail (Maryland Eastern Shore) pitched 20.6 innings through five games for UMES collecting an ERA of 13.25.
- Amaya McPherson (Norfolk State) threw 10.2 innings giving up five earned runs on 15 hits with six strikeouts and three batters walked.
- Lauren Sheehan (Norfolk State) went 5-of-10 at the plate with one run, three RBI, one double and four putouts.
- Brierra Tyler (Norfolk State) threw 6.0 innings surrendering eight runs, five earned, on 10 hits for a 5.83 ERA.
