WASHINGTON, DC -- Freshman standout Saniyah King (Washington) scored a game-high 24 points and forwards Zennia Thomas (Cleveland) and Kaiya Creek (Seat Pleasant, Md.) came off the bench to combine for 26 points to help the Howard University women's basketball team pull away to a 72-59 win over Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) clash at Burr Gymnasium.

Coppin State def. South Carolina State 57-45 

ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- Angel Jones led all players with 21 points as the Coppin State women's basketball team fought off South Carolina State, 57-45, on Monday night at SHM Memorial Center. 

The Eagles improved to 16-9 overall, equaling their most since the 2016-17 season, and 7-2 in the MEAC.

Norfolk State def. Delaware State 92-44 

NORFOLK, Va. -- The Norfolk State women's basketball team secured its 25th consecutive victory at Echols Hall on Monday evening, defeating Delaware State 92-44. 
  
Diamond Johnson led the Spartans with 31 points, adding five rebounds, three blocks, and two steals to her totals. Kierra Wheeler (18) and Anjanae Richardson (13) both scored in double-figures in the win.

North Carolina Central def. Morgan State 71-53 
 

DURHAM, N.C. – Kyla Bryant scored 16 points, Morgan Callahan added a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds and North Carolina Central held Morgan State to 2 of 18 shooting in the fourth period to pull away for a 71-53 MEAC women's basketball victory at McDougald-McLendon Arena on Monday. 
 
Shakiria Foster scored 14 points for the Eagles, who improved to 4-5 in the MEAC and 7-17 overall after snapping a three-game losing skid.
