Norfolk State’s Clark Earns Top Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va., December 15, 2025 - Norfolk State guard Da’Brya Clark was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week presented by Wells Fargo.  North Carolina Central forward Aaliyah Grant was named Rookie of the Week, while Howard forward Zennia Thomas earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.      

Clark (G, 5-7, Jr., Baltimore, Md.) averaged 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 3.0 steals to lead the Spartans to  1–1 week. In the win over Dillard, she scored a career-high 34 points while grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out three assists, and collecting five steals. 

Grant (Fr., 6-0, F., Ocala, Fla.) scored six points (2-of-4), grabbed two rebounds, and added one steal while shooting 50 percent from the field in the loss to High Point. 

Thomas (G, 6-2, Sr., Cleveland, Ohio) totaled 16 rebounds, five steals, and five blocks in a 1–1 week for the Bison. She recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds, along with four blocks and three steals, in the win over Hampton. Against Virginia, she added nine points, six rebounds, two steals, and a block. 

Other Top Performers 
  • Lainey Allen (UMES) recorded 15 points, 11 rebounds, two blocks, and a steal against La Salle. 
  • Ja’la Bannerman (MSU) contributed a career-high 32 points, shooting 53 percent from the field (10-of-19), in the loss to Central Florida.
  • Morgan Callahan (NCCU) scored 22 points while adding six rebounds and three assists in a loss to High Point. 
  • Khila Morris (CSU) averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in two games for the Eagles. 
  • Anjanae Richardson (NSU) averaged 11.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.0 steals in a 1-1 week for the Spartans.
