NORFOLK, Va., November 3 – North Carolina Central’s Kamren Harper has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the league announced today. Howard’s Kristen Dear earned Rookie of the Week honors, while teammate Leah Reeves was recognized as Setter of the Week. Coppin State’s Coco Figueroa claimed Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
Harper (NCCU, Sr., OH, Simpsonville, S.C.) powered North Carolina Central to a 2–0 week, totaling 37 kills and 51 digs while posting double-doubles in both victories. Harper recorded a career-high 30 digs and 15 kills against Coppin State and followed with a 22-kill, 21-dig effort in a five-set win over Morgan State.
Dear (HOW, Fr., MB, Carson, Calif.) helped Howard to a 2–0 week, recording 19 kills on .615 hitting percentage and totaling 10 blocks on the weekend. She posted a .778 performance against Delaware State and added a 12-kill, six-block outing versus Maryland Eastern Shore.
Reeves (HOW, Sr., S, Allen, Texas) averaged 12.7 assists per set over the weekend, recording back-to-back 40+ assist games with 42 against Delaware State and 47 versus Maryland Eastern Shore. She also contributed 12 digs, four aces, and four blocks across seven sets to help Howard to a 2–0 week.
Figueroa (CSU, Jr., L, Bayamon, Puerto Rico) anchored Coppin State’s defense with 60 digs (5.0 per set) across three matches, including 22 digs and six assists vs. NC Central and 21 digs against UMBC.

Kate-Linh Eden (UMES) led her team with 41 assists, seven aces, and nine digs, including 21 assists and five aces in the win over Norfolk State.
