DURHAM, N.C. – The inside tandem of Aniya Finger and Morgan Callahan both posted double-doubles and North Carolina Central pulled away late from UNC Asheville 66-53 at McDougald-McLendon Arena on Thursday for its season's first women's basketball win.
It was the first time an Eagles' duo both recorded double-doubles since last season when both Callahan and former player Jada Tiggett each reached double figures in points and rebounds in a victory over Delaware State on Jan 13, 2025.
Victoria Morris and Najah Lane nearly had double-doubles for the Eagles. Morris finished with nine points and eight rebounds and Lane had eight points and seven assists. Aysia Hinton matched Morris with nine points.

ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carlina State women's basketball team put up an solid effort but came up short in an tough 85-49 defeat to University of Georgia Thursday (Nov.13) inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
Lemyiah Harris led the way for SC State with 13 points, while Mya Byrd and Angie Juste- Jean finished with 12 points respectively in the loss. Juste-Jean also finished with a team-high six (6) rebounds.
