The MEAC is proud to announce the launch of a new quarterly newsletter designed to support the health and wellness of its student-athletes. The newsletter will highlight mental, physical, and emotional well-being topics, offering practical resources and guidance to help student-athletes thrive both on and off the field.
The newsletter will be distributed through multiple channels, including email, social media, and the MEACsports.com website, ensuring that student-athletes and staff have easy access to valuable content year-round. Each edition will feature expert insights, wellness tips, and spotlight programs from member institutions that emphasize holistic development.
“Our student-athletes are the heart of the MEAC, and their overall well-being is a top priority,” said Dr. Harry Stafford, MD, MBA, CSCS, MEAC Chief Medical Officer. “This newsletter provides targeted resources and strategies to help our athletes maintain peak performance, manage stress, and embrace healthy habits in all aspects of their lives.”
MEAC Commissioner Sonja Stills added, “We are committed to providing student-athletes with the tools and support they need to succeed academically, athletically, and personally. This newsletter strengthens our holistic approach and reflects our dedication to fostering well-rounded student-athletes across the conference.”
The inaugural edition is now available on MEACsports.com, and future editions will continue to provide timely, relevant information to empower student-athletes across the MEAC.
