DURHAM, North Carolina -- Delaware State rallied from a three-point halftime deficit to defeat North Carolina Central 35-26 on the road on Saturday afternoon, making it their first win in Durham since October 15, 1977.
The Hornets improved to 5-3 on the year and 1-0 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Eagles fell to 5-3 and 0-1.
Kaiden Bennett led Delaware State's passing attack with 212 yards through the air, tossing three touchdowns and one interception. The signal caller also added 61 yards on the ground.
Marquis GiIllis paced the Hornets rushing attack by accumulating 108 yards and two touchdowns over the course of the game, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. James Jones chipped in with 57 yards as well, averaging 4.1 yards per carry.

NORFOLK, VA—South Carolina State opened Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in dominating fashion with an, 51-20, win over host Norfolk State Saturday (Oct.25) on the road inside Dick Price Stadium (47,273).
The Bulldogs improved to 5-3 overall, 1-0 MEAC), while the Spartans fall to 1-7 overall, 0-1 in league play.
SCSU's offense did not disappoint on the day racking up a game-high 613-yards total offense with 428-yards passing and 185-yards rushing. Quarterback William Atkins, IV posted a season best passing for 24-of-36-1 for 428-yards, four touchdowns (4) with a long of 75-yards.

WASHINGTON (October 25, 2025) - Anthony Reagan Jr. (Woodbury, N.J.) scored on a 25-yard touchdown run on the first play of his team's possession in overtime and gave the Howard University football team a hard-fought 33-27 win over Morgan State in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opener at Greene Stadium before a crowd of almost 10,000 spectators.
Reagan rushed 122 yards and two TDs to lead all rushers and eclipsed the 100-yard mark for the third time in four games. He has now scored at least one TD in the past four games. The New Jersey native also caught four passes for 36 yards against the Bears.
