BALTIMORE, MD – Angel Jones scored a game-high 20 points and Laila Lawrence notched a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds, leading the Coppin State women's basketball team to a 61-56 win at Morgan State on Saturday afternoon at Hill Field House.
The Eagles improved to 12-9 on the year, matching their win total from last season, and 3-2 in the MEAC, while the Bears fell to 9-11 overall and 2-3 in league play.

PRINCESS ANNE, MD-- In a record-setting day for one of the Hawks' longest tenured players, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore earned its second win of MEAC play with a 66-46 victory against Delaware State at home.
Zamara Haynes scored 17 points en route to eclipsing 1,000 points for her career. She also added five rebounds, two assists and a block to her milestone breaking night. Brianna Barnes and Mahogany Lester each hit double digits scoring with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Barnes added five rebounds, two steals and an assist. Lester added three rebounds, two steals and an assist to her total.

NC Central def. South Carolina State - 71-56
DURHAM, N.C. - On Saturday, the Eagles led the entire way against South Carolina State at McDougald-McLendon Arena in a 71-56 win.
Graduate forward Morgan Callahan and freshman guard Shakiria Foster each scored 17 points and sophomore guard Aysia Hinton added 14 points for the Eagles, who captured their fourth consecutive victory.

NORFOLK, Va. --- A strong second-half performance led the Norfolk State women's basketball team to a 69-53 win against Howard on Saturday afternoon at Echols Hall.
Graduate guard Diamond Johnson led NSU with 24 points, adding eight rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and one block to her totals. Senior forward Kierra Wheeler posted her ninth double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore guard Da'Brya Clark also scored in double-figures with 13 points.
