BALTIMORE, Md. - Redshirt senior guard Kameron Hobbs scored 18 of his game-high 23 points in the second half to lead the Morgan State men's basketball team to an 78-74 victory against Norfolk State on Monday night at Hill Field House.
- Hobbs connected on 9-of-19 from the field, including 4-for-9 from three-point territory and added a game-high eight rebounds and four assists in 40 minutes.
- Daniel Akitoby and Amahrie Simpkins scored 15 points each. Akitoby also finished with six boards, four steals and three assists.
- Will Thomas added 12 points (6-15 FG) with four rebounds.
- Terrence Jones paced the Spartans with 20 points, five rebounds and three steals in 27 minutes.
- Sin'Cere McMahon scored 13 points (3-9 3FG) off the bench, and Brian Moore Jr. chipped in 11 points, seven boards and five assists.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks were unable to battle back from a second half South Carolina State run in a 78-64 loss on Monday night.
The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 10-4 lead. UMES responded with a 8-0 run sparked by six points from MEAC leading scorer Ketron "KC" Shaw to go up 12-10 with 11:52 to go in the opening half. The defensive efforts of both teams resulted in a scoring drought of over four minutes before a Kyrell Shaw layin put UMES up four at the eight minute mark. A D'Shay Wright jumper broke the scoreless run for SCSU at the 7:37 mark and another layup by Wright with 6:06 to play tied up the game, 16-16.
The offensive pace quickened over the next three minutes a made jumper from Maurice Vassel and a three pointer by Kyrell Shaw put the Hawks up by two, 22-20, with 3:25 left in the half. SCSU's Davion Everett poured in six points in the final three minutes of the quarter to help give the Bulldogs a 28-27 edge at half.

NC Central def. Delaware State - 75-72
DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University men's basketball team claimed a nail-biting victory against Delaware State University winning 75-72 on Monday evening in McDougald-McLendon Arena with the memory of the Hornets ending the Eagles' season in the 2024 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament.
Senior guard Keishon Porter and redshirt senior guard Isaac Parson combined for 37 points scoring 18 and 19, respectively.
Joining the duo in double figures was junior guard Po'Boigh King (13) and senior wing Timmy Adedire (12).
NCCU (9-12, 2-2 MEAC) played a close game throughout against DSU with 10 lead changes in the first half. Both teams came into Monday's game with identical conference records.

Howard def. Coppin State - 90-75
WASHINGTON (January 13, 2025) — Howard University men's basketball team extended its win streak to three after defeating Coppin State (CSU), 90-75, at Burr Gymnasium.
With the victory, HU moved to 8-9 overall while remaining unbeaten in league play (3-0).
Freshman guard Blake Harper (Washington) led the way with a double-double (25 points & 12 boards) while fellow D.C. native senior guard Marcus Dockery added 24 points on 6-of-8 shooting from downtown.
Both squads went back-and-forth early on until CSU took a nine-point advantage with more than seven minutes before halftime, 30-21, thanks to a layup from Jonathan Dunn.
