WASHINGTON, DC — Freshman guard Saniyah King (Washington) scored a game-high 23 points to lead four Bison in double figures as the Howard University women's basketball team won, 75-58, versus Morgan State (MSU) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference clash at Burr Gymnasium.
It was the second straight win for the Bison while Morgan State (9-9, 2-1 MEAC) had a three-game win streak snapped.

Norfolk State def. Coppin State - 82-66
NORFOLK, Va. --- Five Spartans scored in double-figures as the Norfolk State women's basketball team picked up an 82-66 win against Coppin State on Saturday afternoon at Echols Hall.
Senior forward Kierra Wheeler led the Spartans with 19 points, adding 14 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block to her totals.
Anjanae Richardson (18), Diamond Johnson (15), Da'Brya Clark (13), and Makoye Diawara (11) also scored in double-figures in the win.

South Carolina State def. Delaware State - 68-62
ORANGEBURG, SC—South Carolina State women's basketball team snapped a 16-game losing skid Saturday (Jan. 11) posting an 68-62 win over visiting Delaware State inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
South Carolina State improved to 2-17 overall, 1-2 MEAC, while Delaware State falls to 3-13 overall, 0-3 in the league.
Three Lady Bulldogs scored in double figures with Shaunice Reed leading the way with a team-high 21 points, along with Angie Juste-Jean 15 points and four (4) rebounds in the way.

N. C. Central def. Md. Eastern Shore - 92-86
DURHAM, N.C. -- The Eagles, dressing only eight players, outlasted the Hawks 92-86 in two extra periods at McDougald-McLendon Arena in an MEAC thriller. NCCU (1-2 MEAC, 3-14 overall) gained its first conference win this season in front of the home fans despite having little depth.
Buoyed by career-highs from sophomore guards Kyla Bryant (32 points) and Aysia Hinton (23 points, 12 rebounds), the Eagles rallied from an 11-point second-half deficit to force overtime, then gutted out two overtime periods to secure the win.
