PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Morgan State won both games against Manhattan College and University of Pennsylvania in a pair of 3-0 sweeps at the Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square Penn Invitational.

Morgan State recorded a season-high 65 kills, while hitting .306, was led by Addison Mettz who recorded a double-double with a team-high 16 kills and 12 digs. Daniele Ferreira finished with 14 kills. Jada Williams also had double digits in kills (11) as well as Ainara Ferandes with ten. Mya Karrick also had a double-double for the Bears, as she tallied 25 assists and had 15 digs. Trinity Carruthers finished with 21 assists.
Morgan State def. Penn 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-22).
Madison Grace led the Bears with a match-high 11 kills, while hitting .429 for the match. Jada Williams and Addison Metts each added seven kills. Trinity Carruthers recorded 15 assists and Mya Karrick added 14. Hannah Chappelle and Metts totaled a match-best 11 digs each.

PRINCESS ANN, Md.- The Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks concluded day one of the Henson Hawk Invitational with a 3-1 home opening victory over Iona University.

Anisa Dorlouis recorded her first triple-double of the season with 11 kills, 29 assists, and 14 digs. Nkemjika Ikemefuna recorded her second multi-kill match of the season with 14 kills.

NEWARK, Del. – Howard University women's volleyball team opened the Blue Hens Invitational, hosted by the University of Delaware, with a three-set sweep over Marist. With the outcome, Howard improved to 5-3 overall while the Red Foxes remain winless (0-8). Additionally, the win moved Bison head coach Shaun Kupferberg closer to 400 career victories.

Rya McKinnon recorded her fifth double-double (15 kills and 11 digs) of the season, along three service aces in the win. Senior outside hitter Dami Awojobi racked up 11 kills and five digs while
Bria Woodard added eight kills with a .500 hitting percentage. Leah Reeves orchestrated the Bison attack, dishing out 25 assists in the victory.
BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- The North Carolina Central University volleyball team claimed its first victory of the season over Campbell University on Saturday as the Lady Camels hosted this weekend's tournament at Gore Arena. The Eagles fell short in the second match of the day against American University, 3-1.

The Eagles were led by a double-double from Emmie Modlin who registered 10 kills and 10 digs in the match. Kamren Harper also added 15 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Neira Joldic chipped in with 19 digs to go with four blocks from Kayden Cupid.

The duo of Modlin and Harper came up big again with Modlin earning her second double-double of the day registering 15 kills and 16 digs. Harper also had nine kills. On the defensive end, Karolina Zubkova gathered 21 digs to go with five blocks from Harper.

NASHVILLE, TN—South Carolina State (1-5) volleyball team closed out the Tiger Invitational with an 1-3 loss to host Tennessee State (2-5) on Saturday inside Kean Hall Gymnasium.

Xaria Pickett led the way with a team-high 10 kills, followed by Hailey Harris with seven (7) and McKinley with six (6). Harris led the way in blocks with eight (8), followed by Hedia Lewis and Pickett with four (4) respectively. Kaia Bennett finished with a game-high 22 assists.

TOWSON, Md. – Coppin State's volleyball team suffered a pair of losses to Lehigh and Loyola Maryland in straight sets on Saturday, splitting action at UMBC and at the Tiger Invitational. The Eagles now stand at 4-8 on the season.
TaKenya Stafford was the lone Eagles player named to the Tiger Invitational All-Tournament Team, tallying a team-high 35 kills (3.50/set) and 36 digs (3.60/set) while hitting .193 in three matches.
Lehigh def. Coppin State 3-0 (28-26, 25-11, 25-23)
Ayanna Pharoah led the Eagles with nine kills on .438 hitting, followed by Stafford with eight kills with five digs and Sophia Bertotti Metoyer with seven kills on .500 swinging in 12 attempts. Kahea Carvalho and Gabriela Zuquelo had three kills apiece.
Carvalho assisted on 17 of Coppin's 34 kills while. Azul Pilahg had 11 as the Eagles hit just .127 against the Mountain Hawks who hit .348. Zuquelo led Coppin with 12 digs and Coco Figueroa added seven digs and a pair of aces. Alessia Gallo had a team-high three aces for the Eagles.

Stafford posted 11 kills without an error on 27 swings to hit .407 while adding a match-high 14 digs for her seventh double-double of the season. Bertotti Metoyer added nine kills on .389 swinging to go with a pair of blocks while Pharoah finished with seven kills.
Carvalho assisted on 30 of the team's 37 kills but the Eagles once again were outhit .292 to .165. Carvalho and Figueroa were both credited with nine digs, followed by Zuquelo with five digs and five kills to go with two aces which matched Figueroa.
