NORFOLK, Va., August 30, 2024 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) 2024 men’s cross-country season opened
with four of the eight programs in action.
The Morgan State Bears won first place at the Baltimore Metro Meet with 64 team points. MSU’s Davian Gray placed in the top ten, finishing
eighth of 77 runners with a time of 16:59.96.
Coppin State also competed at the Baltimore Metro Meet with a sixth-place team finish, led by Humed Mura clocking a time of 17:13.17 for an 11
th place finish.
South Carolina State was one of ten teams competing at the CSU Buccaneer Cross-Country Open, hosted by the College of Charleston. Kameron Sutton led
leadthe team at the CSU Buccaneer XC open with a time of 22:32.9.
Howard placed second at the Mount 5K Duals hosted by Mount St. Mary’s, with a total of 53 points. Eyob Gill and Habtamu Epley placed in the top 10 in the event. Gill crossed the line. Seventh, clocking a 15:41.46 time, while Epley crossed the line in 15:55.46 for a ninth-placefinish.
