Morgan Volleyball To Take Part In Second MEAC Takeover Event

BALTIMORE, Md. (Aug. 27, 2024)--Morgan State will join fellow Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) volleyball programs on Day 2 of the MEAC Volleyball Takeover on Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 10:05 a.m.-10:20 a.m.
 
The event will be streamed live throughout the MEAC Digital Network, on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. The Takeover will be hosted by Alysse Scripter, the MEAC's Director of Strategic Communications.
 
Head coach Xiomara Ortiz and senior Trinity Carruthers and junior Daniela Ferreira will talk all things volleyball as they prepare for the start of the 2024 season.
 
The Bears open up the 2024 campaign this week at home, as they co-host the Morgan/Towson Invitational (Friday, Aug. 30-Sunday, Sept. 1). Morgan State will welcome Lehigh on Friday at 6 p.m., before taking on Duquesne at 1 p.m. and Saint Francis-Pa. at 6 p.m. on Saturday. All three matches will be played at Hill Field House. The Bears will conclude the tournament on the road when they visit co-host Towson in the finale on Sunday at 1 p.m.
