LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 20, 2024 -- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 2024 NFCA Division I All-Region accolades heading into the NCAA Division I Softball Championship Tournament.
Howard's Cheyenne Castille and Maryn Jordan were the MEAC representatives that garnered all-region accolades appearing on Mid-Atlantic Region third team.

Jordan, an All-MEAC first-team honoree, led the MEAC in batting average with a .472 mark recording 29 runs on 51 hits with 10 doubles and one triple while driving in 28 RBI.
Castille was third in the MEAC in overall batting average collecting a .390 average for the season. In 59 at-bats, the freshman registered 23 hits with one double while scoring eight runs and sending in seven RBI.
The NFCA recognized 376 total athletes from 160 programs across the nation. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. NFCA eligibility requirements.
All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2024 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
