NORFOLK, Va. - Morgan State University will face the No. 10 seeded Blue Devils of Duke University in the opening round of the 2024 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in Durham, N.C. at the Duke Softball Stadium.

A week after winning the 2024 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Softball Championship title, the Lady Bears will represent the conference as the automatic qualifier in the 2024 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. Morgan State defeated Coppin State twice on Championship Saturday to receive the AQ.
MSU is led by MEAC Player of the Year Victoria Fletcher and MEAC Rookie of the Year Amber Rivas on the field, while Head Coach Larry Hineline garnered Co-Coach of the Year honors.
Duke (47-6) claimed the program's second-ever ACC Softball Championship on Saturday, May 11, with a 6-3 victory over Florida State.
The Blue Devils have five All-ACC performers, including Claire Davidson and Jala Wright were unanimously voted the ACC Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively, while Aminah Vega was named the Defensive Player of the Year.
Head Coach Marissa Young was tabbed the Coach of the Year for the first time in her career.
