MEAC Announces Weekly Bowling Honors, presented by Coca-Cola

NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 8, 2024 — Delaware State junior Sydney Reardon was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced today. UAB freshman Madison Colston was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week.  

Reardon (Jr., Ridgefield, Conn.) helped the Hornets claim the top spot at the Griffin Baker Classic where Delaware State totaled a 6,509 pin count and a team average of 186 per game. Individually, Reardon averaged 21.50 pins per frame in the Baker format style, while collecting a 92.2 fill percentage, a 57.8 strike percentage and an average of 9.33 pins on first ball.

Colston (Fr., Pinellas Park, Fla.) helped the Blazers finish sixth at the Saints Invitational hosted by Maryville University. UAB picked up eight wins on the weekend with a total team pinfall of 12,514 pins. The rookie from Pinellas Park, Florida finished eighth overall with a total pin count of 1,221 averaging 203.50 pins per game. Her best score of the weekend came in her second game where she tallied 255 points. Colston averaged 20.34 pins per frame while recording an 83.6 fill percentage.

Savannah Schneider (UAB)
helped the Blazers to a sixth-place team finish while recording an individual pin count of 1,267 pins on the weekend. Tallied a weekend high score of 264 points and averaged 211.17 points per game.
