Norfolk State 80, Maryland Eastern Shore 59 

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Diamond Johnson and Kierra Wheeler combined for 48 points en route to Spartans 80-59 victory over Hawks. 

Norfolk State shot 66.7 percent (19-of-27) in the first half of action to lead 46-24 at halftime.  

Zamara Haynes and Mya Thomas both recorded double figures with 14 and 10 points respectively.

Coppin State 63, S.C. State 39 
ORANGEBURG, S.C. -
The Eagles of Coppin State defeated the Bulldogs of South Carolina State 63-39 behind strong performances from Angel Jones with 17 points and Laila Lawrence who tallied her ninth double-double of the season with 11 points and 14 rebounds.  

CSU held SCSU to just 19 points in the first half while putting 36 points on the board before halftime. Both teams posted 12 points in the third quarter before the Eagle defense held the Bulldogs to eight points in the fourth while pulling away for the victory.

Jordan Releford and Cassandra Colon recorded 11 and 10 points respectively.

Howard 69, Delaware State 57 
DOVER, Del. -
The Howard Bison defeated the Hornets from Delaware State 69-57 to improve to 5-2 in MEAC action. A trio of Bison recorded double-digits in the win led by Nile Miller with 17 points and nine rebounds.  

Howard tallied 20+ points in two of the four quarters but led by just five points at halftime. HU held DSU to just four points coming out of halftime while putting 23 points on the board to really pull away.  

Kaiya Creek and Tyana Walker joined Miller to lead the Bison with 15 points and 10 points respectively. 

Deyonce Thompson led Delaware State with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Naomi Zulueta and Denijsha Wilson added 12 and 11 points apiece.

N.C. Central 66, Morgan State 65 

DURHAM, N.C. - Five Eagles scored in double figures en route to North Carolina Central defeating Morgan State by one point, 66-65. Morgan Callahan led the charge with a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. NCCU is tied with Howard and Coppin State for second in the MEAC standings at 5-2 in league play. 

Morgan State led at the end of the first quarter by one point, 19-18, but North Carolina Central outscored the Bears by ten points in the second quarter to lead 39-30 at the break. NCCU held the one-point advantage in the third quarter putting up 18 points to MSU’s 17, while Morgan State responded in the final period with an 18-9 run to pull within one point at the end of regulation.  

Aniya Finger was behind Callahan with 15 points while Kyla Bryant put up 12 points. Both Kimeira Burks and Tippy Robertson tallied 10 points apiece in the win.  

Amari Smith and Anjanae Mueck both tallied 15 points for Morgan State while Jael Butler added 11.
