Howard 90, North Carolina Central 82 

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Marcus Dockery led the Bison with 26 points en route to Howard defeating North Carolina Central 90-82. 

The Bison led by nine points at the halftime break with the score sitting at 42-33. The Eagles led by one in the second half, 49-48, but the first half advantage that Howard carved out helped the home team hanging on for the win.  

Bryce Harris joined Dockery with 23 points and six rebounds while Seth Towns added 12 points and Shy Odom contributed 10.  

The Eagles were led by Fred Cleveland, Jr., with 20 points while Ja’Darius Harris went 10-of-13 from the charity stripe to added 18 points. Po’Boigh King closed out the top scorers with 14 points.

Norfolk State 71, South Carolina State 67 OT 

NORFOLK, Va. - Jamarii Thomas's 18 points helped Norfolk State claim a narrow 71-67 overtime victory over S.C. State.  

The Spartans led by eight points at the end of the first half 30-22, however, the Bulldogs came back in the second half to close the gap and lead by eight points, 36-28, forcing the game to overtime. NSU narrowly pulled out the win outscoring SCSU 13-9 in the extra ten-minute period.  

Jaylani Darden was the only other Spartan in double figures with 14 points to join Thomas as top scorers. 

SCSU saw three Bulldogs reach double figures led by Omar Croskey with 16 points. Raquan Brown recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Atiba Taylor added 11 points.

Delaware State 66, Coppin State 56 

BALTIMORE, Md. - Rookie Deywilk Tavarez led the Hornets in the comeback win over the Eagles as DSU won 66-56 over CSU. 

Coppin State held the lead in the first half with the score sitting at 35-30 at the halftime break. Delaware State shutdown Coppin in the second half holding the Eagles to just 21 points while scoring 36 of their own to claim the win.  

Wesley Oba and Jevin Muniz joined Tavarez as the leading scorers with 14 and 12 points respectively.  

Coppin State was led by Malik Battle as the only Eagle in double figures scoring 17 points to lead the team.

Morgan State 70, Maryland Eastern Shore 65 

BALTIMORE, Md. - The Bears used a second-half surge to pull ahead of the Hawks for the 70-65 win over Maryland Eastern Shore.  

The score was nearly tied at the end of the first half as UMES led 28-26. Morgan State posted 44 points in the second half while holding UMES to 37.  

Wynston Tabbs and Kamron Hobbs provided the one-two punch with 14 and 11 points respectively.  

Devon Ellis led the Hawks with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Troy HUpstead and Dionte Johnson added 11 and 10 points each.
