DURHAM, N.C. Sophomore guard Kyla Bryant's jumper with three seconds remaining gave the North Carolina Central University women's basketball team its second straight win, a 77-76 victory over Furman on Monday in McDougald-McLendon Arena.

The Eagles are now 2-12 on the season.

Freshman guard Shakiria Foster led N.C. Central with a career-high 24 points, going 9-for-13 from the floor and draining three 3-pointers. She's scored in double figures in four straight, including two straight 20-point efforts. Bryant added 22 points, behind eight field goals and three treys, while also dishing out a career-high nine assists.

Morgan State def. Mount St. Mary's (MAAC) 72-68

BALTIMORE, Md. (Dec. 30, 2024)--The Morgan State Lady Bears closed out 2024 with a 72-68 non-conference victory over Mount St. Mary's on Monday afternoon at Hill Field House.
 
Morgan State improved to 7-8 with the win and finished its non-conference slate with a perfect 5-0 record at home. It marks the sixth time since the 2016-17 season that Morgan State has gone unbeaten at home during its non-conference schedule.
 
Tamaria Rumph came off the bench to score 17 points to lead four Morgan State players in double figures scoring, as Morgan State improved to 9-7 all-time against The Mount. Laila Fair added 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while adding five rebounds and three steals.  Michaela Bogans and Jael Butler each finished with 14 points. Butler and Fair each recorded a game-high three blocked shots.

Hampton (CAA) def. Delaware State 64-47

DOVER, DE --The Delaware State women's basketball team held Hampton to just 9.1 percent from deep in a 1-for-11 shooting performance, but fell 64-47 to the Pirates at home Monday.

 Kiarra Mcelrath led the Hornets (3-10) with 15 points and two steals.  Mckenzie Stewart also added six points, 10 rebounds and two steals and Brooke Barnes chipped in as well with eight points.
