Georgetown def Howard 69-63

WASHINGTON (December 1, 2024) – Graduate guard Destiny Howell (Queens, N.Y.) scored a season-high 25 points but it was not enough as Georgetown University got past the Howard University women's basketball team, 69-63, in a nonconference tilt at Burr Gymnasium.
 
Howell, the 2022-23 MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Player of the Year, tallied 14 of her points in the second half and 
nine different players scored for Howard. Junior forward Zennia Thomas (seven points & career-high 11 rebounds) and freshman guard Saniyah King (six points, career-high eight assists and only two turnovers).

BATON ROUGE, La. – Graduate guard Morgan Callahan led the way with 13 points Sunday afternoon as the North Carolina Central University women's basketball team fell 131-44 to No. 7 LSU at the Pete Maravich Center.

The Eagles are now 0-10 on the season.

Callahan went 6-for-13 from the floor, and she also led N.C. Central with eight rebounds.
