Old Dominion (Sun belt) def. Howard 75-58 

WASHINGTON, DC -– Graduate guard Destiny Howell (Queens, N.Y.) came out of a mini, early season slump to pour in a game-high 30 points, but no other player reached double figures as the Howard University women's basketball team fell, 75-58, to Old Dominion University (ODU) in a nonconference game at Burr Gymnasium. 
  
The loss drops the Bison to 6-6 on the season while the Monarchs improve to 8-2.

Charleston Southern (Big South) def. South Carolina State 78-50 

ORANGEBURG, SC-– Charleston Southern traveled to Orangeburg, SC to take on the lady bulldogs in. Nonconference matchup Tuesday evening. 

The Lady Bulldogs fell to Charleston Southern, 78-50. Shaunice Reid led South Carolina State with 17 points, while Taniya McGowen added 11 points and three steals.

Virginia (ACC) def. Maryland Eastern Shore 80-64 

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (4-8) took Virginia (7-5) to the wire through the first half, but the Cavaliers pulled away in the second half to take an 80-64 win. 

Ashanti Lynch, Zamara Haynes and Brianna Barnes each passed the double-digit scoring mark against Virginia with 16, 13 and 10 points, respectively. It's the first game of the season UMES has had three players hit double-digit points in the same game.
