DURHAM, N.C. – Director of tennis and men's head coach for the North Carolina Central University men's tennis team D. Curtis Lawson announced the 2025 spring schedule. NCCU will compete in 21 regular season matches.

The Eagles open its schedule on the road at NC State (Jan. 18) and Duke (Jan. 19) as NCCU also played both opponents last year. NCCU hosts UNC Greensboro (Feb. 1) for its first home match and makes the short trip to Chapel Hill, N.C. to face the University of North Carolina on Feb 2.

NC Central remains in-state for the next four matches traveling to Davidson, N.C. for a doubleheader with Belmont Abbey and Davidson on Feb. 8. The Maroon and Gray welcomes Campbell on Feb. 13 before heading to UNC Asheville on Feb. 21.

The first out of state road trip for the Eagles will be in Virginia as NCCU goes to Longwood on Feb. 27 and begins Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play at Norfolk State on March 1.

NCCU will spend spring break in Orlando, Fla. facing St. Thomas Aquinas (March 10), Farleigh Dickinson (March 11), Hampton (March 12) and Niagara (March 13) at the USTA National Campus.

Next up, the Eagles continue conference play at the MEAC Round-Up with matches held in Maryland and Washington D.C. this season. Coppin State (March 28), Morgan State (March 29) and Howard (March 30) will compete against NC Central with the first and last match hosted at the WTEF East Capitol Campus in Washington D.C. and Morgan State's match will be played at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, Md.

NCCU wraps up conference play at South Carolina State on April 5 before heading to Greensboro, N.C. to take on North Carolina A&T State and Guilford College on April 12. The Eagles cap off the regular season by hosting Shaw on April 18.

The 2025 MEAC Tennis Championships will be hosted by North Carolina Central at the Cary Tennis Park on April 24-26 in Cary, N.C.
