Penn State (Big 10) def. Coppin State - 99-51

STATE COLEGE, Pa. – Peter Oduro scored a game-high 15 points and both Jonathan Dunn and Toby Nnadozie finished in double figures as the Coppin State men's basketball team fell to Penn State, 99-51, on Saturday afternoon at Bryce Jordan Center. The Eagles fell to 0-12 on the season as the Nittany Lions improved to 9-2 overall.

  • Oduro hit 7-of-9 shots from the floor, including a 3-pointer to lead all players in scoring.  He made his first six shots from the floor.
  • Nnadozie and Dunn had ten points apiece, followed by Camaren Sparrow with seven and the rest of the Eagles finished with a combined nine points. Nnadozie and Sparrow both had a pair of steals.
  • Julius Ellerbe III had a game-high eight rebounds and dished out five assists.

FARMVILLE, Va. – North Carolina Central University's men's basketball team wrapped up a three-game road trip at Longwood University with a 77-70 victory at the Joan Perry Brock Center on Saturday afternoon.

Senior guard Keishon Porter finished with 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting which included a couple of game-sealing dunks to hold off a Longwood comeback.

Junior guard Po'Boigh King joined Porter in double figures with 16 points. Every Eagle that entered the game scored.

Md. Eastern Shore def. Bryn Athyn (Div. 2) - 91-65

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks snapped a seven game losing streak with a 91-65 victory over Bryn Athyn on Saturday.

Coming off a narrow two-point loss to Wagner, the Hawks jumped out to a 7-0 lead over the Bryn Athyn Lions and led by as many as 17 in the first half behind a balanced scoring attack led by Evan Johnson, Ketron "KC" Shaw and Christopher Flippin. Shaw scored 13 in the opening 20 minutes of play while Johnson filled the stat sheets with 11 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Flippin added 10 points to lead the UMES big men as the Hawks shot 18-for-30 in the opening half, including seven makes from three-point range, to take a 46-31 lead at intermission.
