Mt. St. Mary's (MAAC) def. Howard - 79-75
WASHINGTON (November 30, 2024) – Graduate guard Anwar Gill (Washington) scored 16 of his season-high 18 points in the second half to lead four Bison in double figures but some key inquiries and some deft free throw shooting proved to be the difference as the Howard University men's basketball team fell, 79-75, to Mount St. Mary's (MSM) in a nonconference showdown at Burr Gymnasium.
It was the Bison's third straight loss.
The Bison played without the services of MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Preseason Player of the Year senior guard Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) and adding to the team's woes, senior guard Marcus Dockery (Washington), the team's leading scorer, hobbled through 25 minutes with a leg injury that kept on the bench for the key last 10 minutes of the game.
