NORFOLK, VA, November 8, 2024 - The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is honored to announce the Guardian of the Game Awards Reception, a prestigious event dedicated to recognizing influential individuals who have made a meaningful impact in the world of sports. This celebration will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.

The inaugural honorees, to be announced on Monday, November 11, represent a distinguished group whose commitment and achievements make them role models within the sports community. This award recognizes those whose contributions, though often unseen, are fundamental to every success, every milestone, and every achievement in the world of athletics.

“We are thrilled to honor women who have played instrumental roles in sports with quiet strength, steadfast support, and unwavering dedication,” said MEAC Commissioner Sonja Stills. “It is a privilege to recognize these incredible women who have inspired so many of us through every victory and have uplifted us during every challenge.”

The evening promises a unique opportunity for attendees to network, share stories, and celebrate these unsung heroes in an atmosphere of admiration and respect. Guests are invited to join us in semi-formal or cocktail attire as we honor those who continue to shape the future of sports.
