NORFOLK, Va., November 7, 2024 – Maryland Eastern Shore junior Mariana Santos Rivero was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola. Teammate Mariane Almeida was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week. 
 
Santos Rivero (Jr., Cali, Columbia) helped the Hawks to a sixth-place team finish at the Track Kat Klash where Maryland Eastern Shore recorded an 11,783 total pin count (184.1 avg.). She finished sixth individually with a total pin fall of 1,012 pins (202.4 avg.). Santos Rivero posted a weekend high score of 226 while tallying a MEAC best average per frame of 19.84 and striking sum percentage (47.7).

Almeida (Fr., Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) finished 24th at the Track Kat Klash with a total pinfall of 950 (190.0 avg.). Almeida averaged 18.07 pins per frame, while recording a 75.8 fill percentage. The rookie recorded a weekend high of 237.
