ORANGEBURG, SC – The Morgan State Bears defeated the S.C. State Bulldogs in straight sets Sunday afternoon. MSU improved to 6-19, 2-9 while SCSU falls to 3-19, 1-9.
Ainara Fernandes led the Bears attack with 11 kills and three service aces with Addison Metts and Grace Madison both contributing eight apiece. Metts added three blocks and six digs to round out her day while Hannah Chappelle paced the back line with 10 digs. Mya Karrick had a team-high 22 assists.
SCSU’s Xaria Pickett led all players with 12 kills while adding six digs, two blocks and an ace. Robyn White bolstered the back line with 15 digs pairing with two aces. Kaia Barnett recorded a game-high 28 assists.

WASHINGTON (November 3, 2024) – Senior outside hitter Dami Awojobi (Hempstead, N.Y.) led the Howard University women's volleyball team to a 3-0 victory (25-14, 25-16, 25-20) over Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Sunday afternoon inside The Burr.
The New York native filled the stat sheet, notching a double-double (12 kills & 11 digs) with four total blocks in the win.
HU (18-5) extended its win streak to 12 while remaining unbeaten in conference play (11-0).
For UMES (8-13, 3-7 MEAC), Lilliana Montes had a team-leading six kills in the loss.

Norfolk State def. Delaware State 3-2
NORFOLK, Va. - Junior setter Sydney McCree, on the Norfolk State volleyball team, reached her career milestone of 2,000 career assists, in the 3-2 win over Delaware State on Sunday in the "Youth Day" match at Gill Gymnasium.
McCree currently sits in third place all-time in Norfolk State history in career assists at 2,013, behind Nicole Kessner '12 (2,424) and Darcy Moore '15 (3,195). McCree finished with 33 against the Hornets on Sunday.
Fourth-seeded Norfolk State (12-12, 6-5 MEAC) defeated the three-seeded Hornets (11-13, 7-4 MEAC) in five sets in the last meeting between the teams this regular season.

Coppin State def. North Carolina Central 3-1
DURHAM, N.C. – Ezgi Kucuk and TaKenya Stafford posted 18 kills apiece and Coco Figueroa went for a career high in digs as Coppin State's volleyball team pulled off a 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-23) victory at NC Central on Sunday afternoon at McDougald-McLendon Arena. Coppin improved to 13-14 overall and 9-2 in the MEAC while Central fell to 6-15 on the year and 4-6 in league play.
Head Coach Tim Walsh has now coached 100 MEAC matches, going an impressive 70-30 in those contests.
Kucuk hit .417 while establishing a season-high in kills and added a pair of blocks while Stafford notched a double-double with a season-high 19 digs and hit .286 for the day. Stafford also passed Asia Stennis on Coppin's all-time kills list and now ranks eighth in school history with 703 kills in less than two full seasons.
Figueroa recorded the first double-double of her career, tallying a match-high 27 digs along with 11 assists, which is also a career-high.
