Boston (Patriot) def. Howard - 69-62

BALTIMORE (November 24, 2024) –
Senior guard Marcus Dockery (Washington) scored a team-high 17 points and fellow D.C. natives Blake Harper and Anwar Gill added 14 points and 10 points, respectively, but the Howard University men's basketball team (3-3) could not overcome the three-point shooting barrage as the Bison fell, 69-62, to Boston University (BU) in a nonconference game at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). It was Howard's first of two games in the UMBC Challenge.

The Bison kept it close most of the game but never could overcome the small cushion that the Terriers maintain through most of the game. Dockery connected on 8-of-14 from the field but failed to make a three-pointer in two years.

Harper, one of the top freshmen in the country, had yet another outstanding all-around game. In addition to his 14 points, he added seven rebounds and a team-high three assists.
