DOVER, Del. (November 1, 2024) — Howard University women's volleyball team pushed its win streak to 11 after topping Delaware State (DSU) in straight sets (25-22, 25-23, 25-22). 
  
With the victory, HU improved to 17-5 overall while remaining unblemished in league play (10-0). 
  
Senior middle blocker Cimone Woodard (Missouri City, Texas) and junior outside hitter Rya McKinnon (Hoover, Ala.) led the charge with nine kills apiece.

Coppin State def. South Carolina State 3-0 

ORANGEBURG, S.C. — Coppin State’s women’s volleyball team secured a big win 3-0 over South Carolina State to help the Eagles advance to 8-2 in conference play. 

The Eagles were led by TaKenya Stafford, who recorded 10 kills and 3 aces, and Ahzhi Coleman, who contributed 8 kills and 4 blocks.

Norfolk State def. Maryland Eastern Shore 3-2 

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — An incredible performance from graduate student Jordan Lyons led the Norfolk State volleyball team to its five-set win over Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday, Nov. 1.  

Sydney McCree totaled 42 assists on the night while Lily Rose-Pichon posted 19 digs, and Jordan Lyons contributed a season-high six service aces on the evening.  Norfolk State travels back home to face Delaware State on Sunday, Nov. 3 in its "Youth Day" match slated for 1 p.m.

North Carolina Central def. Morgan State 3-2 

DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University volleyball team used a balanced attack to defeat Morgan State University in five sets in a home match Friday at McDougald-McLendon Arena. 

NCCU (6-15, 4-6 MEAC) was led by a double-double from Emmie Modlin, who registered 16 kills and 13 digs on the day. Three more Eagles finished with double-digit kills for the offense including Kamren Harper with 20 kills.
