NORFOLK, Va., Nov. 18, 2024 – Coppin State forward Laila Lawrence was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola.
Delaware State forward Nala Abraham was named Rookie of the Week, while
Morgan State's forward Laila Fair earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.
Lawrence (F, 6-2, Sr., Lewisville, Texas) averaged 19.7 points, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 7.0 rebounds in three games while leading the MEAC with 59 points on the week. She delivered back-to-back 20-point performances against No. 1 South Carolina, the defending national champions, and Virginia Tech. Lawrence registered a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds in the Coppin State’s win over Saint Francis.
Abraham (F, 6-2, Fr., Gwynn Park, Md.) recorded four points and six rebounds in two games for Delaware State.
Fair (F, 6-2, Sr., Middlesex, N.J.) averaged a double-double with 14.6 points and 11.0 rebounds to help Morgan State to a 1-2 week. She recorded a game-high 20 rebounds with 15 coming on the defensive end against Old Dominion. Fair contributed six points, five rebounds, four steals and three blocks in the win over Towson. Fair finished the week averaging 2.0 blocks and 3.3 steals for the Bears.

- Mahogany Cottingham (DSU) totaled 42 points (21.0 avg.) over two games for the Hornets with five rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block.
- Makenzie Stewart (DSU) registered 10 rebounds along with eight points for the Hornets.
- Destiny Howell (HU) finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and one assist in the win against Mount St. Mary's.
- Kaiya Creek (HU) collected 11 rebounds with two points, one assist and one block against Mount St. Mary's.
- Zamara Haynes (UMES) scored 32 points, including a team-high 20 against Buffalo, while collecting eight defensive boards and six steals in two games for the Hawks.
- Mahogany Lester (UMES) led UMES in rebounding with seven against Buffalo in a 1-1 week for the Hawks.
- Anjanae Richardson (NSU) averaged 8.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals for the Spartans.
- Kierra Wheeler (NSU) averaged 17.5 points (35) and 7.0 rebounds (14) through two games for the Spartans.
