Virginia Tech(ACC) def. Coppin State – 86-51 

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Laila Lawrence led all scorers with 20 points as Coppin State's women's basketball team fell at Virginia Tech, 86-51, on Saturday afternoon at Cassell Coliseum.  The Eagles now stand at 2-3 on the year while the Hokies improved to 3-1. 

Niyah Gaston was also in double figures, matching a career-high with 12 points on four 3-pointers.

UMES def Virginia Univ Of Lynchburg. 75-32 

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore took early control in its 75-32 home win against Virginia University of Lynchburg behind an overwhelming team effort. 

Zamara Haynes led the Eagles in scoring with 12 points while Ashanti Lynch helped round out the scoring finishing with 11.

Delaware State def Cheyney University  80-44 

DOVER, DE --The Delaware State women's basketball team shot 51.9 percent from beyond the arc on the way to an 80-44 victory against the at home Saturday. 

The Hornets (2-3) had three players score in double figures, led by Mahogany Cottingham, who had 32 points. Ericka Huggins tacked on a double-double off the bench with 14 points and 15 rebounds and Kyra Lawrence chipped in as well with 12 points and two blocks.

Norfolk State def Hampton 62-53 

Hampton, VA-- The Norfolk State women's basketball team forced 26 turnovers on its way to a 62-53 victory over Hampton in the Battle of the Bay. 
  
Senior forward Kierra Wheeler scored 16 points, leading the Spartans while graduate Diamond Johnson (15) and graduate Niya Fields (12) also scored double figures.
