NORFOLK, Va. --- Norfolk State women's basketball player Diamond Johnson earned HBCU + National Player of the Week honors, the organization announced Tuesday evening.

Johnson averaged 20.0 points, 4.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game over the three games. She led NSU in scoring in both the Longwood (32) and Missouri (17) wins.

Norfolk State started its season 3-0 with wins over William & Mary (70-49), Longwood (71-62), and Missouri (57-54).

The Spartans will continue their road trip against No. 22 Alabama this evening with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at Coleman Coliseum.
