Morgan State 41 def. Lincoln (Pa.) 0 (CIAA) 

BALTIMORE, Md. - The last time these squads battled each other was back in 1953 when both teams were members of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). In that game, Lincoln was shut out 20-0. Fast forward to this meeting, 71 years later, Lincoln (PA) still hasn't punctured the scoreboard as Morgan State pummeled the Lions 41-0 on a beautiful homecoming afternoon at Hughes Stadium.

Sacred Heart 10 (Independent) def. Norfolk State 3 

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Despite a tremendous effort from its defensive unit, the Norfolk State football team could not complete a late rally at Sacred Heart on Saturday, falling 10-3 at Campus Field. 
 
NSU defensive lineman Sage Beuchert-Irvine racked up a career high nine tackles against the Pioneers, including a tackle for loss. AJ Richardson and Kaleb Broadbent followed closely behind with seven and six tackles, respectively.

Saint Francis 28 (NEC) def. Delaware State 17 

DOVER, Del. - Saint Francis (PA) rallied from an 11-point third quarter deficit to defeat Delaware State 28-17 on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium. 

The Red Flash improved to 2-3 on the season while the Hornets dropped to 1-5. 

Jaden Sutton led all Hornets rushers with 60 yards and one touchdown in the contest, picking up 4.3 yards per carry. Jayden Jenkins also added 47 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 6.7 yards per carry. 

NyGhee Lolley pulled in eight catches for 95 yards.

South Carolina State 22 def. Tennessee Tech 20 (OVC/Big South) 

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The Bulldogs narrowly squeaked by with a two-point, 22-20, victory on the road at Tennessee Tech on Saturday, Oct. 5. QB Eric Phoenix registered 412 passing yards completing 17-of-31 attempts for three touchdowns.  

The Bulldogs collected 465 total yards of offense in the victory with 412 yards coming through the air.

North Carolina Central 45 def. Campbell 14 

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The North Carolina Central University football team picked up its third straight win on Saturday, upending Campbell University 45-14 at Barker-Lane Stadium. 
 
The Eagles improved to 4-2 overall on the season. 

N.C. Central registered 218 yards on the ground as the Eagles amassed 357 yards of total offense with five touchdowns.
