NORFOLK, Va., October 17, 2024 – Delaware State senior Emily Breidegam was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola. Coppin State freshman Blessing Lawrence was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week.   
  
Breidegam (Sr., Reading, Pa.) helped the Hornets to a seventh-place team finish at the Bud Whitman Memorial Tournament where Delaware State totaled a 7,355 total pin count. On the weekend, she averaged 215.6 pins per game which earned her All-Tournament accolades.  

Lawrence (Fr., Providence, R.I.) finished 23rd at the Bud Whitman Memorial Tournament with a total pinfall of 945 averaging 189.00 pins per game. Coppin State picked up two wins on the weekend with a total team pinfall of 6,652 pins. Her best score of the weekend came against LIU where she tallied 209 pins. Lawrence averaged 17.97 pins per frame while recording a 77.6 fill percentage.

Simone Ashford (Howard) averaged 184.6 pins en route to an 11th-place team finish for the Bison at the Bud Whitman Memorial Tournament. Registered a weekend high of 234 against Wilmington (Del.).
