WASHINGTON, DC. – Howard volleyball posted their eighth sweep of the season Friday night, besting the Morgan State Bears (25-15, 25-19, 25-22) for their fifth straight shutout. 

Rya McKinnon led Howard with an impressive 20 kills, while Dami Awojobi came through with crucial kills and aces in each set, helping propel the Bison to victory. Leah Reeves orchestrated the offense with 46 assists, and Bria Woodard added six kills and an ace, as Howard secured a dominant 3-0 sweep over Morgan State.

Maryland Eastern Shore 3 def. South Carolina State 2 

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks held off the South Carolina State Bulldogs' (12-25, 22-25, 25-17, 25-14, 15-11) comeback effort to earn their second conference victory of the season.
 
The Hawks have won 11 matches in a row against South Carolina State. Tonight's game was the first five set match in the series since 2010. Anjola Omolewa tied her season-high with 11 kills. This is her third match that she has eclipsed double-digit kills this season. Anisa Dorlouis tallied 19 assists against the Bulldogs. She has recorded double-digit assists in all 16 games this season.

Coppin State 3 def. Norfolk State 1 

BALTIMORE, Md. – Deviana Walker and TaKenya Stafford posted 15 kills apiece and the Eagles served a season-high 13 aces as the Coppin State volleyball team defeated Norfolk State, 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-19, 25-21) on Friday night at PEC Arena.  CSU now stands at 9-11 overall and 5-0 in the MEAC while the Spartans fell to 7-10 on the year and 2-3 in league play.
 
A freshman from nearby Odenton, Md., Walker had her best performance in her young career, hitting .394 on 33 attempts while adding a pair of blocks.  Stafford notched another double-double, hitting .278 with ten digs and a pair of aces.
 
Ezgi Kucuk also had her best offensive match of the season, recording 12 kills with just one error on 25 attempts to hit .440. Sophia Bertotti Metoyer hit an error-free .667 with eight kills on 12 swings while matching Walker and McKenzie Parks with two blocks.

Delaware State 3 def. North Carolina Central 2

DOVER, Del. – The Delaware State volleyball team took down the North Carolina Central Eagles 3-2 Friday at home in Memorial Hall. The conference win improved Delaware State's record to 7-11 overall and 3-2 in MEAC play.

The Hornets were led by a double-double from Gerren Tomlin, who registered 10 kills and 11 digs on the day. Aaliyah Mitchell also added seven kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Morgan Allen chipped in with 12 digs to go with seven blocks from Alondra Maldonado.
