NORFOLK, Va., Jan. 30, 2024 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is now accepting audition videos for the national anthem and halftime performances at the 2024 MEAC Basketball Tournament (March 13-16, Norfolk Scope Arena, Norfolk Va.).
The auditions, also known as MEAC at Center Court, allow entertainers, dancers, singers, choirs and musicians of all ages and backgrounds an opportunity to showcase their talents at the conference's annual basketball tournament.
Prospective performers can submit their audition videos online from Tuesday, January 30 through Tuesday, Feb. 13 by going to MEACHoops.com to learn more about video submission.
National anthem performers should submit an acapella version of the song no longer than two minutes, while halftime performers will have up to three minutes to present their acts.
Applicants interested in submitting a video audition should have a positive attitude, creative technique, and style, and display a high level of showmanship and energy. Performances may not include profanity or other obscene materials. All auditions submitted must be the selected performance that will be showcase, if selected.
MEAC judges will select the winners, who will be notified by Friday, February 16, 2024.
